Japanese DV reaches record high

Police in Japan received more than 17,000 domestic violence related complaints in 2005, an increase of 2478 cases compared to last year’s number of 16,888.

Both of issuance of “No approach” to a victim and violations of “No approach” increase dramatically.

On the other hand, stalker and stalking related cases in 2005 falls 9% compared to last year.
